We're LEAP, short for Living Elements and Playgrounds, a Townsville family business creating natural play spaces that inspire children to climb, explore, imagine and discover.
Our Story:
LEAP began with two passions: a love of woodworking and a love of landscaping.
Together, we saw a chance to do things differently. Playgrounds were becoming dominated by concrete and what we like to call "plastic fantastic". These spaces have their place, but something was missing: the character, texture and sense of adventure that only natural play can bring.
Coming from a large family, children have always been at the centre of what we do. Growing up rurally, we've seen first-hand the joy children find in climbing trees, balancing on logs, digging in the dirt and making their own fun.
Since 2016, we've been bringing that experience back into playgrounds across North Queensland, one handcrafted play space at a time.
Because the best playgrounds don't just give children something to play on. They give them somewhere to discover.
Why Nature Play:
When children climb timber, balance across logs and squelch through mud, they build far more than muscles. Nature play helps develop:

Every LEAP space is designed to give children aged 3 months to 12 years the freedom to explore in their own way.
